Our children in the Researchers I room have been investigating and observing our school buildings. They are in the process of drawing sketches of what they have observed.

We value our children and their unique, wonderful perspective of the world around them. This investigation provided so many learning opportunities, from ‘exploring and describing spatial relationships amd shapes’ (Math), to ‘demonstrating fine-motor strength and coordination, using writing and drawing tools’ (Physical), to ‘demonstrating positive approaches to learning by attending and engaging, persisting, and showing curiosity and motivation’ (Cognitive), and ‘demonstrating simple geographic knowledge’ (Social Studies).

Providing children meaningful, relevant learning opportunities is so important to us. We know that you will love their work and their impressions of King’s Daughters too – eventually these drawings will be used on our new brochure!
