Springtime in Nashville is one of our favorite times of year at King’s Daughters Child Development Center. Our gardens begin to bloom again, filling our outdoor classrooms with color and life. The laughter of children running across the playground carries through our halls reminding us of the joy of our mission. And each year, spring also brings one of our most anticipated traditions: our annual spring benefit concert.

Our benefit concert is more than just a fun, family-friendly event. It plays a critical role in supporting our mission. As a nonprofit child care center serving Nashville families on a sliding scale, community support helps us continue providing high-quality early childhood education to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
When we began planning our fifth annual concert, we knew this year needed to be especially meaningful. 2026 marks our 60th Anniversary, a milestone that represents decades of impact in early childhood education in Nashville. We wanted to honor that legacy while creating something new and memorable for our families and supporters.
And so, the Diamond Jamboree was born.
This year’s event transformed our annual concert into a vibrant, carnival-style experience. With the help of our incredible community partners, we brought in inflatables, carnival games, and talented musicians that made the event exciting for children and families alike.
One of the most special moments of the evening came from within our own center. Our Pre-K teacher, Mr. Sura, took the stage as an opening act, showcasing his musical talents and deep connection to our community. Seeing one of our educators step into the spotlight was a powerful reminder of the passion and creativity that define our team.

The night continued with a lively performance curated through the generosity of talent manager Dane Gorman, who volunteers her time each year to bring together a unique lineup of talented songwriters and musicians. Each year’s lineup is thoughtfully curated, making every concert feel fresh, dynamic, and rooted in the rich artistry of Music City.
This year’s featured artists, The Farmer and Adele, took the stage with their signature western swing style blending vintage country and upbeat rhythms into a performance that tied the whole day together.

A Record-Breaking Year of Support & Why It Matters
With the support of our sponsors, community partners, and those who believe in our mission, the Diamond Jamboree became our most successful benefit concert to date.
Events like this do more than raise funds; they strengthen community connections and increase awareness around the importance of accessible, high-quality child care in Nashville. In a city where child care remains both costly and limited, support from our community ensures that families can access the care and early education their children deserve.
At King’s Daughters, we believe that every child deserves a strong start. Our nature-based, play-based curriculum supports social-emotional development, kindergarten readiness, and a lifelong love of learning.
The success of the Diamond Jamboree allows us to continue:
- Providing affordable child care through a sliding scale tuition model
- Investing in high-quality classroom materials and environments
- Supporting and retaining experienced early childhood educators
- Expanding access to early learning opportunities in Nashville
As we celebrate 60 years of service, we are incredibly grateful for the community that continues to support us. Here’s to many more years of serving Nashville families and making futures brighter.
