On Saturday, February 7th we celebrated our 60th Anniversary by stepping into an Enchanted Winter Forest.
Surrounded by families, alumni, supporters, and friends, our community came together for an evening that beautifully honored six decades of service. The LOCC building was transformed into a magical winter woodland, inviting guests to wander through different areas of the “forest” and step into a world of wonder. Along the way, children and families delighted in meeting special visitors, including Princess Elsa, Princess Anna, and Belle.

The evening was filled with laughter, music, and dancing as we celebrated not only our history, but the mission that continues to guide us forward. We gathered to cut our anniversary cake, shared stories and smiles, and reflected on the love and commitment that have sustained our organization for 60 years.
A special highlight of the night was the presentation of the Light of the Community Award to Dr. Elizabeth Pierce. With more than 25 years of dedicated service to our organization and our Board of Directors, Dr. Pierce’s leadership, advocacy, and steadfast commitment have helped shape who we are today. It was an honor to recognize her enduring impact and the light she brings to our community.
This unforgettable evening would not have been possible without the incredible efforts of our staff, 60th Anniversary Committee, board members, and volunteers. Their time, creativity, and dedication transformed a vision into a truly enchanting celebration.

Whether you celebrated with us in the forest or supported from afar, you are an essential part of our story. Our 60 years of service have been built on the strength of this community, and we are thankful for each of you. Together, we are making futures brighter.
A huge thank you to Tiff’s Treats, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Sysco who helped make this event a success by generously donating food items and serving supplies!
