Meet Ms. Julie, the friendly face that welcomes every family to the center from our front desk in our original building. Julie Miller is King’s Daughters’s Associate Director and her positive outlook is infectious. She has been in the field of early education since 1975 and her experience ranges from leading classrooms, coordinating workshops, teaching music, and administrating programs and centers.
Julie, why do you like your job?
Our school is a very special place filled with joy and excitement about learning. Our staff are committed to working with our children and families to provide a nurturing environment for each child.
What is your favorite thing about the center?
Our staff is second to none!
What do you do for fun when you’re not at King’s Daughters?
I play a variety of musical instruments, walk, draw, work puzzles, and spend time with my grandchild.
Tell us more about your family!
I have three children (all girls) and a granddaughter. Two of my children live hundreds of miles away, but my oldest daughter and her daughter live here in town. We are all avid jigsaw puzzlers!
Are you from Nashville?
My hometown is Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. I have been in Nashville and from coast to coast since 1975. My favorite city is Boulder, Colorado.
What is one of the funniest things you’ve heard a child say or do at King’s Daughters?
“Ms. Julie, why do you always wear the same clothes?”
Ha!
