As I was setting out pumpkins on my back porch today, I recalled the joy that little pumpkins had brought to the children at King’s Daughters on Friday. B I took small pumpkins and gourds around to each classroom so that the children could add a little bit of “fall” to their classrooms. B It was amazing what joy these little orange fruits brought! B Squeals of joy and big bright smiles. B My favorite though was in Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Joyce’s room where a little guy made sure to give me a big hug and kiss on the cheek along with the words, ” Thank You for the Pumpkins, Mrs. Candyee!”

Little Pumpkins bring great joy!

Little Pumpkins bring great joy!

If only we as adults could embrace this awe of the simplest little things in life, take time to enjoy the color of the season, the crunch of leaves underneath our feet – be completely in the moment and genuinely B thankful for the little things that bring joy to our lives. B So – as we go into this week – one that for many of us will bring much multi-tasking, decisions to be made, bills to be paid, projects to be completed – the list could go on and on – let us take a moment to be “childlike” in the appreciation of what has been given to us and to revel in the joy that this brings!

Blessings for your week ahead,

Candyee
